2009-07-15    Project Management Training now offered in Houston, Texas, USA


Houston, Texas, USA and Nuremberg, Germany, July 15, 2009 -- Ottmann and Partners Management Consulting and Stromeyer and Partners Consulting announced today that they have started a joint venture in the training of project managers. In addition to trainings in Europe, Asia and South America, which have been successfully performed for 20 years, starting in August, the trainings are now offered in North America as well. Accordingly, trainings will now take place at the Alliance Center in Houston, Texas, right next to the NASA Johnson Space Center. For those, who are interested, a special guided tour in the NASA Johnson Space Center can be arranged at an additional day after class conclusion.

Project Management Courses are offered both in German and English:

  • Project Management Basic Training (a 3-day class)
  • Project Management Associate (IPMA International Project Management Association) Certification Training (a nine-day class, broken into three sections per three days each) with optional certification examination
  • Project Manager (IPMA) Certification Training (a four-day class, for certified project management associates, for the preparation for the certification as project managers, senior project managers or project directors)

Optional guided tour to Johnson Space Center, Houston

For those, who are interested, a guided tour through the NASA Space Center can be arranged. The Johnson Space Center is the very heart of NASA manned space missions (http://www.spacecenter.org).

Program highlights:

  • Special presentation by a former astronaut trainee, training manager and project manager for space projects about the specific challenges and adventures of Space Project Management
  • Display of the Space Shuttle, the lunar rover, Gemini and Apollo Capsules
  • IMAX theatre showing movies about the life of astronauts and the International Space Station and a visit of the Johnson Space Center

So far, 10 project directors, more than 400 Project Managers and Senior Project Managers and more than 3,600 Project Management Associates were successfully prepared in our courses for the IPMA certification.
